The Grapes Of Wrath - Discussion - Joads
well when beginning the book I thought the Steinbeck would write the Joads like the common families of the time, meaning very poor and stuff
but throughout the book I saw that it was not so
they were actually better off than most other people
When people were pushed off their land, became poor, and had nothing left
The Joads actually had enough food to feed 2 extra people that suddenly showed up (Tom and Casey)
and then at the government camp you could see that while everybody else had almost nothing to eat, Ma Joad got her pot right out and made a stew
is their better for fortune going to last throughout the rest of the book
or are they also gonna fall down
